WWMW (What Would Michelle Wear?)

Seeing the celebs’ sartorial choices during awards season is always fun, but I am much more excited for the inauguration.  Why, fair reader?  It is not for the bland colors and Hilary pantsuits to be sure. The answer lies in one word: MICHELLE.  I just love seeing what she comes up with – she experiments with colors, shapes, and styles, and it is a joy to watch.  I also appreciate how she works with her height and size — no easy task, as many readers know.  I am wondering what kind of footwear she will be wearing on Tuesday.  If my every wish were granted, she would wear Barefoot Tess shoes of course.  But what pair?  Help me decide!

A. A stylish black peeptoe with unique detailing – elegant and edgy, just like her.

B. A kickass boot to show she’s a woman to be reckoned with.

As the snow and slush and ice and sleet continue to fall, I find myself longingly looking at my cute array of summer sandals and the like. Ah Matt Bernson gladiators, if only  it were warm enough for me to pull you out today…. Don’t get me wrong, boots are one of the absolute best parts about cold weather. But, sometimes a girl needs variety! I was wondering what all of you wear on nights out in the cold weather.  Do you sacrifice warmth in the name of fashion? Or is practicality our guiding style?

A. I’m a cold weather warrior…stiletto booties, here I come!

B. I do what I can. Flat, but cute, boots it is.

Panic at the Disco: What to be for Halloween?

As it appears to be late September out of nowhere, I have begun actively brainstorming what to be for everyone’s favorite fall holiday – Halloween.  Something cute but not too promiscuous, timely but not overly complicated, easily recognizable but clever… a tough assignment! Favorite costumes throughout the years have included Carmen Miranda (try a pair of espadrilles) or His Girl Friday (sheer black tights, 40s pumps – try these, a black suit and netted pillbox hat, and, of course, witty repartee all night). But I am at a loss this year… what to be?  I need your help!! Any ideas/favorite past costumes/funny stories??
